Toyota gave us a huge surprise this year as they introduced the return of the Venza nameplate. From 2008 until 2015, the Toyota Venza offered another option in the midsize crossover segment, though it was more reminiscent of the station wagons of old. Now, Toyota is resurrecting the nameplate in a huge new way, by giving it a sleek and sophisticated new exterior design and making it an exclusively hybrid vehicle, much like the Prius. We’re stoked for the arrival of the 2021 Toyota Venza here in Lima OH, and we think you should be too!
The market has seen a lot of hybrid-only nameplate being introduced across the automotive industry over the past few years, but the Toyota brand has only had the Prius to fit that mold. Surprising, considering just how many hybrid models the Toyota lineup offers. Now, the Prius is being joined by the 2021 Toyota Venza, the brand’s first hybrid-only utility vehicle.
With an incredible sleek exterior design, this two-row midsize crossover is available in three different trim levels (LE, XLE and Limited), each powered exclusively by the Toyota Hybrid System II powertrain as well as an advanced Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system. While official EPA-estimate have yet to be announced at the time of this page’s creation, Toyota estimates the 2021 Venza will achieve 39 miles per gallon combined across highway and city driving.
Much like the Prius Prime, the 2021 Venza will be very focused on offering a host of technological features, including an available 12.3” display audio screen, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, a 7” multi-information display, a digital rear-view mirror and a 10” color Head-Up Display. Plus, the 2021 Venza will of course come standard with the new Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 package.
